Welcome to DD Ranch Creative Pottery! I am Diane Demetriades, an artist and former art educator in the public schools in Connecticut. I moved to Maine many years ago and set up my studio here in the beautiful state of Maine. All of my work is wheel thrown and altered pieces. My joy as an artist to take my wheel thrown pottery and alter the clay into something creative. The circular stoneware piece are based on ancient historic form. In some of my functional pottery, I feel the everyday use items should bring joy to your day and a smile to your face! My inspiration comes from many sources including the beauty of nature and my love of finding the amusement in life!
